Ainganiza Wadell Steven

Founder & Executive Director PLANE

Steven is the vision bearer and founder of PLATFORM for the NEEDY (PLANE) .He is a professional teacher and Journalist. He has a Certificate in primary education and Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism &Mass Communication.

He also holds a Diploma in Journalism and Entrepreneurship . Steven has served in both Electronic and Print Media since 2006. He served as a reporter and Assistant News editor Voice of Tooro 101 FM from 2006-2008. During that time he also freelanced with Red Pepper Publication, Uganda Radio Network and Radio One FM 90 Kampala. From 2008-2019, Steven worked as a Managing Editor at Voice of Tooro 101 FM. In 2019 he received an award for being passionate and championing advocacy radio programs promoting women and vulnerable children’s rights to address their plight.

Steven was a victim of Domestic Violence .He experienced a lot of torture and suffering subjected to him by the step mothers, sisters and brothers.

The suffering and horrible experience Steven went through explains why he founded PLANE to advocate for the rights of vulnerable children and women whose rights are abused. He appeals to every one in the world to join him in the struggle to fight the acts of Gender Based Violence and promote children’s rights.

Mugisha Sam

Monitoring and Evaluation Manager

Graduate with a post graduate diploma in project planning and management, a Fellow in monitoring and evaluation of health programs and projects and a B.A (Arts).

He worked as the HIV work Place Coordinator with Uganda Red Cross Society (2007-2012), as RCRC+ Focal Point in East African Zone with IFRC (2008 to date), Founder member and Former ED of VINACEF Uganda and a Founder for Youth and Children Frontiers Uganda (YoC-Uganda).

He further served as Blood Donor Recruitment Manager with Uganda Red Cross Society from (2012-2017). He has expertise in Monitoring and Evaluation, strategic planning and management, Project Proposal writing, Project planning and Management, Coordination at local, country, regional and International levels, Mentoring, coaching, Capacity Building.

Rose Mary Nyamata

Human Resource, Finance &Administration

Rosemary Nyamata, is a Human Resource, Finance& Administration Manager.

She holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Certificate in Administrative Law, and a Diploma in Business with accounting option from Uganda Pentecostal University.

Before joining PLANE, Rose Mary first worked with Uganda Pentecostal university as an Assistant Bursar, Mpanga growers tea factory as a weighbridge officer/ marketing officer, Mariestopes Uganda as Clients liaisons officer/cashier/receptionist, Centenary bank as an ATM lobby officer/Accounts updating officer.

Rosemary is a hard working lady and she is passionate about women and youths. Transparency and financial accountability is her priority.

Mark Eliot Rubuubi

Mark Eliot Rubuubi is the Youth Advocacy Officer

Mark Eliot, 22 years old holds a Bachelors Degree of Community Development and Social Justice from Kyambogo University, Kampala Uganda.

Children and the youth are among the vulnerable groups and because of the nature of our country he feels these people are so much neglected. He is therefore driven by the marginalization of these groups to work towards with them.

Beatrice Murungi

Gender & Advocacy Officer

Beatrice holds a Bachelors Degree in Micro Finance and Community Economic Development.

She also has a dual Masters Degree in Entrepreneurship for impact and Masters in Business Administration (MBA). She also has a certificate in teacher.

Beatrice loves interacting with youth and women in communities, mobilizing them in groups of Savings and Credit, developing concepts together towards fighting poverty and improves house hold income.

Karungi Joseline

Advocacy &Research Officer

She holds a Bachelors Degree in Development Studies from Kyambogo University which she attained in 2012. Karungi also holds a certificate in Law from Law Development Centre (LDC) Kampala. Before joining PLANE, Karungi worked with National Identification Registration Authority (NIRA) in 2017 as enrollment officer.

She also worked with the Ministry of Health as General Interviewer, from April 2015-2016. Joseline also worked with Electoral Commission as Election Officer and with Ministry of Internal Affairs as a sub county supervisor. Karungi loves working with rural communities especially women and children.
