“Empowering Communities Through Cuisine: Olla Olla Crepes’ Fundraiser for SGBV Awareness”

Olla Olla Crepes, a charming restaurant nestled in central Phoenix, Arizona, forged a meaningful partnership with the non-profit organization PLANE on February 22nd, 2025, in a concerted effort to combat Sexual Gender-Based Violence (SGBV).

This collaborative initiative saw Olla Olla Crepes generously donating 30% of its profits from the day to the fundraiser, showcasing a commitment to social responsibility and community engagement. The fusion of French and Mexican culinary influences at Olla Olla Crepes not only tantalized taste buds but also served as a catalyst for positive change, as patrons rallied around the cause, raising funds and awareness for those impacted by SGBV.

Under the visionary leadership of owner Lyndelle, Olla Olla Crepes served as a beacon of hope and support for the fundraiser, further exemplifying the restaurant’s dedication to uplifting the community. The event garnered an outpouring of support, with donations pouring in both directly to the fundraiser’s GoFundMe page and through patrons referencing the fundraiser at the point of purchase.

As the community congregated to savor delectable crepes and contribute towards a noble cause, the spirit of altruism and unity permeated the atmosphere, underscoring the collective resolve to address the pervasive issue of SGBV affecting vulnerable populations, particularly in Uganda. The success of the fundraiser not only showcased the boundless generosity of individuals but also highlighted the transformative impact that a shared commitment to social advocacy can bring to those in need.
