PLANE Volunteers Transforming Lives Through Community Education Project

PLATFORM for the NEEDY (PLANE) Volunteers are transforming the lives of Ugandans through the Community Education Project.

In April 2022, Peato Wangweera (PLANE software volunteer and student in the USA)  launched a campaign to raise funds to support the education of Ugandan vulnerable children.

The campaign, dubbed “Community Education Project,” was embraced by his Mother Anna Boonteang Wangweera, her family, and the community. Anna Boonteang has accepted to be our Thailand Ambassador to spread the organization’s mission and brand among her communities.

Under this project, Peato and Anna mobilized funds for the purchase of scholastic materials like books, pens, pencils, soap, uniform, and fees to enable the most vulnerable children to access education.

On Friday, 19th August 2022, PLANE handed over the items and fees to the children and their guardians at a colourful ceremony held at St.Peter & Paul Primary School, Fort Portal Tourism City. The event was presided over by Dr.Fr.Pascal Kabura, PLANE board member and the Director of Bishop Magambo Counselor Institut, and witnessed by Rev. Sarah Kakyo, head Health department Rwenzori diocese. Both commended Peato, her mother, family, and the Thailand community for the initiation and support to Ugandans.

PLANE management and the Ugandan community are appreciative for the amazing support towards our children. We appeal for continued support and relationship from all global volunteers and ambassadors so as to transform the lives of Ugandans and develop the organization.
